IP Pin for eligible taxpayers
The IP PIN is a 6-digit number assigned to eligible taxpayers to help prevent the misuse of their Social Security number on fraudulent federal income tax returns. An IP PIN helps the IRS verify a taxpayer’s identity and accept their electronic or paper tax return. When you have an IP PIN, it prevents someone else from filing a tax return with your SSN.
IRS Tax Account Monitoring
Each taxpayer has an electronic account with the IRS for each year. IRS allows taxpayers and their representatives to monitor their tax accounts through so called transcripts. The transcripts show most of the taxpayer’s activity for each calendar year, regardless of whether the return has been filed for that period.
EFTPS payment system

EFTPS represents one of the most user-friendly and secure ways for individual taxpayers to interact with the federal government, i.e. IRS, when it comes to making, reviewing, modifying and even canceling tax liability payments.
